Sandra Pedicini, a senior business reporter who covered Walt Disney Co., Universal and SeaWorld at the Orlando Sentinel, has left the paper for a job at AAA.
Pedicini is now a content development editor at AAA in Heathrow, Florida.
“After being in the journalism business for 25 years, I was looking for some new challenges,” said Pedicini in an email to Talking Biz News. “I was attracted to AAA for many reasons, including the work it does in driver safety and the useful information it provides to the traveling public and the media.”
Pedicini had been with the paper for 24 years, starting out covering local government and business in Volusia, Seminole and Orange counties. She worked occasionally as a night metro editor and assisted with editing of county sections.
She became the restaurants and retail reporter in December 2008 and also ran a holiday shopping blog. She switched over to the tourism beat in June 2014. She occasionally hosted Orlando News Now, a daily webcast produced by the Sentinel and Fox 35.
Sandra graduated from UCF a with a double major in political science and journalism.
