Three-month fellowship to teach business journalism in London

City University in London is offering scholarships to visiting academic faculty interested in teaching financial and/or business journalism in the context of globalization. The scholarships are for three months (mid September 2008 to mid December 2008) and are worth $19,000.

Professors would be required to teach on a master’s in global business reporting (details at: www.mundusjournalism.com). Specifically they would be responsible for one course on financial and/or business reporting (approximately 3 hours contact time per week for 12 weeks). Class enrollment is 10 to 15 students. During the remainder of their time they would be free to pursue their research interests, if appropriate collaborating with City faculty.

The scholarships are available for the 2008-9 academic year.

If you are interested please send send a letter of motivation, a CV and a covering letter by email to Neil Thurman.

The deadline for applications is Jan. 16, 2008. You may contact Neil Thurman ahead of the deadline if you would like to discuss the fellowships in more detail.
