Michael Thrasher has been named editor in chief of Institutional Investor’s RIAIntel.
He replaces Greg Bartalos, who moved to Barron’s.
“I’m incredibly proud of the website and the journalism we’ve done. But I’m even more excited about the future,” he wrote on Twitter.
Thrasher Joined the publication two years ago as a reporter. He previously was a reporter for WealthManagement.com, where he has been since January 2017.
Thrasher has covered brokerages, RIAs and everything that impacts them. He has written about mergers and acquisitions, regulatory changes, technology and industry trends.
He previously worked as a research analyst for ValuePenguin and interned at Business Insider. Institutional Investor launched RIAIntel in 2019.
