Earlier today it was announced that Andrew Rashbass has decided to leave Thomson Reuters to become the Executive Chairman of Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC. I have asked Steve Adler to assume responsibility of the Reuters news business on an interim basis following Andrew’s departure at the end of the month.
Steve is not only a highly accomplished editor-in-chief, he has a strong understanding of the challenges facing our clients across the Thomson Reuters business. I am confident that Steve will continue the excellent ground work laid by Andrew to further integrate and monetize our news and media business.
World-class journalistic excellence remains critical to our success as an organization. While the direction and values of our news operation will not change, we will continue to innovate in news gathering, delivery and customer service to meet customers’ needs in a rapidly changing news and media landscape.
Please join me in giving our continued support to Steve as he takes on the additional responsibilities and wishing Andrew well in his continued future success.
