TheStreet names new contributors editor

Jeremy Greenfield has joined TheStreet.com’s editorial team as the new contributors editor.

Cherella Cox, who has served as chief editor of contributors and newsletters since 2013 has been named copy chief of contributors, newsletters and training.

Greenfield comes to TheStreet from Digital Book World, where he spent three years as editorial director. There, he developed the editorial strategy while drastically increasing both traffic and revenue. Previously, he was content leader at FINS, a Wall Street Journal careers site, where he conceived of one weekly and three daily newsletters while managing daily flow of content assigning, editing and reporting stories.

Prior to FINS, Greenfield reported on the advertising and media industries at Media Industry Newsletter and other outlets. Greenfield holds a B.A. in English from the University of Pennsylvania.

“Jeremy comes to our team with a lot of experience overseeing editorial content while growing audiences, and we’re thrilled to have him as our new contributors editor,” said Janet Guyon, editor in chief of TheStreet.com, in a statement. “Cherella has done so much to develop the contributor model over the past years, and we are excited to see Jeremy take the reins while Cherella turns to her new duties as copy chief.”
