The Wrap strikes content deal with Hearst newspapers

The Wrap, a website covering the business of entertainment and media, has struck a deal to provide its content in Hearst’s daily newspapers, including in San Francisco, Houston, Seattle and San Antonio.

The agreement covers 17 Hearst publications, all of which will use Wrap stories to augment their coverage of Hollywood and popular culture.

“We are very proud to partner with Hearst to carry our coverage in major cities across the country,” said Sharon Waxman, The Wrap’s CEO and founder, in a statement. “This partnership is an exciting step forward in our goal of helping premium news outlets benefit from our high quality content in the entertainment news space.”

Launched in May 2014, WrapWire news service provides coverage of the business of entertainment and media. The coverage includes high-profile news stories, investigative stories and authoritative analysis, along with coverage of popular culture, trending topics and the intersection of media and culture.

The following Hearst newspapers will carry Wrap content: The San Francisco Chronicle, SFGate, Houston Chronicle, San Antonio Express-News, Mysanantonio.com, Albany Times Union, Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Westport News, New Milford Spectrum, Danbury News Times, Fairfield Citizen, Darien News, Stamford Advocate, Greenwich Time, CT Post, Danbury News Times, and New Canaan News.
