Entertainment industry website The Wrap hit a record high of 17 million unique visitors in April.
TheWrap attracted 16.94 million unique visitors in April 2019, according to Parse.ly, with similar user numbers recorded on Google Analytics.
In addition, the 10-year-old Los Angeles-based news site achieved its most trafficked day ever last Sunday by drawing 2.5 million unique visitors, according to Parse.ly.
This jump represents a more than 210 percent increase in website visitor traffic compared to 2018. This trend has been building consistently in month-to-month record increases for The Wrap. Records were also recorded in January, February and March, which saw a more than 120 percent increase in traffic year over year.
“Seeing this company grow from its infancy 10 years ago to 17 million monthly visitors is just extraordinary,” said Wrap founder and CEO Sharon Waxman said. “This record is just another way we know the content we create is beloved by our readers.
