The Wonder Women of personal finance

Finder.com profiles what is calls the Wonder Women in finance and includes a number of top personal finance journalists.

About CNNMoney’s Heather Long, it writes, “Heather is a senior writer and editor covering the economy for CNNMoney. She has previously worked at The Guardian US as an assistant editor, and The Patriot-News as a deputy editor, winning the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for local reporting. With her work relevant to both professional and consumer audiences, Heather is making her mark on the personal finance industry.”

For Reuters money editor Lauren Young, it writes, “Covering personal finance for more than two decades, it’s fair to say that Thomson Reuters’ Money Editor, Lauren Young, is a Wonder Woman of Finance. Her specialities include being able to ‘put a face on personal finance topics’, and her work caters for both professional and consumer audiences (win!).”

For Bloomberg’s Suzanne Wooley, it writes, “Suzanne Woolley has bounced between BusinessWeek and Money Magazine, growing her knowledge and experience and writing about everything personal finance. Now at Bloomberg, she’s boosted their social media accounts and written insightful and informative articles. She’s been the editor of Bloomberg’s personal finance channel for the past seven years and has streamlined it into an engaging offering.”

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
