The Information hires Cheddar’s Heath

Alex Heath

The Information editor in chief Jessica Lessin sent out the following announcement on Monday:

Dear Team,
We are thrilled to announce that Alex Heath will be joining us later this month to cover Facebook and Alphabet, turbocharging our coverage of these important companies at a critical time
At Cheddar, Alex has consistently broken big industry news—from Facebook launching a crypto currency to the ATT/ AppNexus deal—and shed light on internal discussions that  have painted companies like Snap and Facebook in new light. We have long been impressed with his ability to back his reporting with primary documents and to source deeply inside some of the most tight-lipped companies.
SABEW recently honored him with an award for best young business journalist under (gulp) the age of 30.
Alex will be covering Facebook and Alphabet  out of our growing New York office, working closely with our teams in SF and DC. He will be reporting to Nick.
Please join me in welcoming Alex!!
