Anna Isaac, trade and economics correspondent at Politico Europe, has been hired by The Independent as an economics editor covering trade, global economy and the UK’s place within it.
She starts in mid-July.
Isaac was also a reporter at The Wall Street Journal covering telecoms and security, cybercrime, and developments in emerging markets and stock exchanges.
She has also worked as a small business editor and then as an economics correspondent at The Telegraph. She has worked at The Guardian and Green Deal Finance Company.
Isaac was also a columnist and features writer at Cambridge Tab and co-editor of Gender Agenda Zine.
Isaac is a graduate of the University of Cambridge.
