Chris Newlands, a business and money editor at The i Paper, has joined personal finance site Money Saving Expert in London as its head of news and investigations.
He was previously editor of the Financial News, managing a team of more than 20 journalists.
He was with the Financial Times for 14 years, holding various roles, including editor – European pensions and investment news, launch editor and managing editor – Ignites Europe and asset management editor and FTfm editor.
His work has also appeared in the Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Marketwatch, TimeOut, Barron’s, Euromoney, CNN and the Guardian.
He is also the author of the Virgin Money Maker, the personal finance guide published by Virgin Books.
Newlands has a B.A. in economics from University of Sussex.
