Blake Montgomery, a former reporter for BuzzFeed News, is headed to The Daily Beast to cover tech and Silicon Valley come July.
While at BuzzFeed, Montgomery covered hard news, politics, tech and social media.
Previously, he worked for EdSurge, an education industry publication, as a reporter and opinion editor, and at Cozymeal Inc., as the content and social media editor.
In November 2018, while reporting a story in Seattle, Montgomery was arrested for trespassing while asking for a comment from a source. The charges were later dropped, and BuzzFeed criticized the actions of authorities.
He is a Stanford University graduate.
