“For those looking to brush up on the basics, Feed the Pig covers how to deal with debt, student loans, buying a first home and how to invest with mutual funds. Feed the Pig is part of a larger campaign from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The Institute also has an extensive video library.
“Laura Adams’ Money Girl Quick & Dirty Tips for a Richer Life offers short tips like lesser-known tax credits, leveraged investments and mortgage short sales. For those looking to skim, the transcripts of her shows on her site are helpful.
“A lot of big financial institutions have jumped on board the podcast ship, including Vanguard, Fidelity and Schwab, to name a few.
“The Securities and Exchange Commission’s Your Money podcast isn’t as glamorous in production as some of the aforementioned, but they’re incredibly informative and much clearer than some of the SEC’s fine print. The IRS Tax Talk Today does the same when it comes to deciphering your 1040.”
