The Houston Chronicle business reporter Erin Douglas has been hired by the Texas Tribune to cover environment.
She will start Nov. 9.
At the Chronicle, Douglas covered Houston region’s biggest companies and corporate executives.
Douglas previously worked on ProPublica’s Electionland reporting project, where she helped local newsrooms around the country cover issues of access to the ballot and problems that prevent eligible voters from casting their vote during the 2018 elections.
She also completed an internship with Bloomberg, where she covered energy.
Douglas graduated cum laude from Colorado State University in May 2018 with dual undergraduate degrees in journalism and economics. While in school, she was editor of the Rocky Mountain Collegian. She also interned at the Denver Post while in college.
