Texas paper expands Sunday biz section

Barry Harrell, the business editor of the Austin American-Statesman, writes Sunday about the paper’s expended business coverage on Sunday.

Harrell writes, “Our new, expanded Sunday business section is bigger — with two additional pages of coverage each week — and introduces a number of new elements, including a rotation of locally focused columns from our business reporting team.

“We’ll also debut a Business Week in Review feature, highlighting and summarizing the past week’s top local business stories.

“Perhaps most notably, our new section introduces Tech Sunday, a new incarnation — on a different publication day — of Tech Monday, our longtime technology section.

“Plus, this shake-up of our Sunday business section comes on the heels of us recently bringing veteran journalist Dan Zehr back to our business reporting team, to take on our newly created Austin economics beat.”
