Karen Smith Welch of the Globe-News writes, “The new content package from AP ‘is designed to help readers understand the story of money — what important financial market and economic developments mean for their wallets and tips for how to manage their financial lives,’ said AP Global Business Editor Lisa Gibbs.
“For example, a regular Money Matters feature addresses topics such as credit cards and retirement, and another offering called Quick Fix dispenses tips and advice, Gibbs said.
“Gibbs said bringing more personal finance coverage to the AP business desk has been one of her goals. Gibbs, a former writer and editor for Money Magazine and Money.com, became AP business editor in August.
“Trevor Delaney, who edits Money & Markets Extra, has been AP’s personal finance editor since 2008, Gibbs said.”
