Tennessee paper names new biz editor

Jimmy Settle has been named the business editor of the Leaf Chronicle, a Gannett paper, in Clarksville, Tenn.

A story on its website states, “It’s a position he’s held on and off since 1991, and Settle will be responsible for, and oversee the Business content of the newspaper and website.

“He’s worked for The Leaf-Chronicle since 1989.

“‘I am always looking forward to the opportunity to chronicle all aspects of Business news in this vibrant and rapidly growing community,’ Settle said.

“‘This includes everything from small retail ventures to major big-box store announcements, and industrial growth on every scale — all the way up to major announcements on the scale of Hemlock Semiconductor LLC, which can rapidly transform this community and its average household incomes.'”
