Jake Lowary, a veterans and military reporter for The Tennessean in Nashville, has been hired as managing editor of Bank Director magazine.
He starts March 5.
Bank Director is a privately held company based in Brentwood, Tennessee, located outside of Nashville, with offices in Washington, D.C.
Lowary has covered veterans and military issues off and on for more than 10 years and is one of the only reporters focused on this topic in Tennessee, often reporting on Veterans Affairs, Fort Campbell and other related news across the state.
He has also been director of all news operations for The Leaf-Chronicle in Clarksville, and the Stewart Houston Times. And he’s coordinator of student affairs publications at Austin Peay University in Clarksville.
Lowary has a bachelor’s degree from Murray State University and a master’s degree from Austin Peay.
