Cassandra Stephenson, a breaking news and justice reporter at The Jackson Sun, has left the publication to join the Tennessean as a business reporter.
During her time at The Jackson Sun, Stephenson produced daily print and online coverage of breaking news, crime and courts in 13 countries in West Tennessee. She also wrote in-depth investigative and enterprise stories at the publication.
Before that, Stephenson was with Pepperdine Graphic Media as a news editor. She was later on promoted to the post of executive editor. Stephenson has also served as an editorial intern at Scoop News Group and as a freelance reporter for the Malibu Surfside News.
Additionally, she has majorly worked with Pepperdine Graphic Media as a news assistant, an assistant news editor and as an abroad correspondent.
Stephenson is a B.A. in journalism from Pepperdine University.
