David Hinckley of the New York Daily News talks to CNBC’s Ted David, who is leaving the business news network after 20 years to explore other opportunities.

Hinckley writes, “He’s enjoyed the whole run.

“‘People say this business is cold, cruel and calculating,’ he says. ‘But there are people like that in every business. Almost everyone I’ve known is caring and decent. I’m still friends with people I met 20 years ago at CNBC.’
