Matthew Lynley, a reporter at TechCrunch, is leaving the tech news site.
On Instagram, Lynley wrote:
A huge thank you to the TechCrunch team for giving me this opportunity — I’ve never had more fun at a job or worked with more amazing people. I’ve learned so much, and it was really an honor to be part of this family since early 2015.
Lynley is joining real estate service company Redfin as a data journalist to parse housing data.
Lynley previously was a business reporter for BuzzFeed and The Wall Street Journal.
At The Journal, he ran the paper’s “Digits” technology blog and directed live coverage of tech earnings and earnings calls. He also worked at Silicon Alley Insider and VentureBeat.
