TechCrunch hires two to cover transportation

Rebecca Bellan

Tech news site TechCrunch has hired two new reporters — Rebecca Bellan and Aria Alamalhodaei — to cover transportation.

Bellan has been a contributing writer for Forbes.com, covering social media and tech innovation since February 2020. She previously worked as a freelancer at CityLab and as a content writer at The Atlantic.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Boston University.

Aria Alamalhodaei

Alamalhodaei is currently a freelance reporter for California Energy Markets, where she has been since February 2020. She also worked as an editorial assistant at Bournemouth University in England.

Alamalhodaei is a graduate of New College of Florida.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
