Tech reporter leaving San Francisco Business Times

Patrick Hoge, the tech reporter for the San Francisco Business Times, is leaving the weekly newspaper after seven years.

Hoge writes, “For my part, I am going into stealth mode, as they say in the startup world. I have some entrepreneurial ventures I want to pursue.

“The Silicon Valley risk-taking ethos has rubbed off on me. Covering tech and venture capital here is a little like being in Pamplona, Spain, during the running of the bulls. Crazy.

“So I’ll be iterating and disrupting and pivoting and eating my own dogfood in my garage.”
