Technology reporter Ian Kar of Quartz is leaving the business news site to move to Southern California to join the product team at Acorns.
Kar has been at Quartz since August 2015 covering financial technology.
Before that, he was the founder and publisher of FinTech Today, where he conceived and developed the content strategy, monetization strategy, and partnerships for a fintech news and analysis website for high-level industry executives and experts.
Ian was an associate editor at Bank Innovation covering financial technology. He has been a correspondent for the Breaking Banks podcast.
Ian was previously a reporter for International Business Times and Benzinga, and was tech editor of Heavy.com.
