San Francisco technology reporter Benny Evangelista has left the newspaper for a job at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
Evangelista had been at the paper for nearly 20 years.
He covered everything from the consumer adoption of mobile devices, streaming video and drones to the rise of e-sports as a pastime. He also wrote about wireless, social and digital applications in sports, and how these apps are impacting marketing and the overall fan experience.
Evangelista previously spent 14 years at the Oakland Tribune covering business and technology, as well as transportation.
He also worked at The Oregonian in Portland. Evangelista is a graduate of San Francisco State University.
