Tappe hired by MarketWatch.com to cover currencies

Anneken Tappe

MarketWatch.com markets editor Mark DeCambre sent out the following message to the staff:

Anneken Tappe has joined the markets team as a reporter, specializing in currencies. She was most recently working at Debtwire covering high-yield bonds, and has tracked private-equity funds, which can’t get enough of junk debt.

She was born and raised in Germany but her name actually has Norwegian origins. She has a Bachelor in European Studies and business from the The Hague University/Copenhagen Business School. She also has a degree in philosophy from the London School of Economics. She loves talking macroeconomics and we love that about her.

Tappe also worked at Unquote in London, covering the European private equity and venture capital industry.
