Tampa Tribune cuts Monday standalone biz section

The Tampa Tribune cut its Monday business section, noting that the business news on that day will appear in the Nation/World section.

Executive editor Janet Coats wrote, “The regular Business section, complete with stock listings, will continue to run Tuesday through Saturday. The Sunday Business section also will remain unchanged.”

The Arizona Daily Star dropped its Monday standalone business section last year, but kept a standalone business section for the rest of the week. Last month, the San Francisco Chronicle cuts its Monday and Tuesday standalone business section. Other papers, most notably the Denver Post and Orange County Register, have cut the standalone business section for the entire work week.

Read more here. Most of the content that appeared in the Monday section will now appear during other days.
