Luke Torrance, a digital producer at the Pittsburgh Business Times, has been hired by the Tampa Bay Business Journal as a reporter.
He will start next week. Both papers are owned by American City Business Journals.
Before joining the Pittsburgh publication in late 2019, Torrance previously worked as a reporter for Blank Slate Media, covering the Port Washington, New York, area. He wrote most of the stories that appeared in the PortWashington Times, as well as shooting most of the photos and writing the headlines for the stories in that paper.
He also covered the Nassau County government for stories featured in all Blank Slate Media papers.
Torrance is an Ohio University graduate with a major in journalism and a minor in political science.
For most of 2016, Torrance covered news and politics in Washington for the Scripps Howard Foundation Wire and The Hill.
