Beat reporting category: Paige St. John for “Florida’s Insurance Nightmare” in Sarasota Herald-Tribune.
News services category: David Evans for “Profiting From Fallen Soldiers” in Bloomberg News.
Explanatory category: Julia Angwin, Nick Wingfield, Scott Thurm and Yukari Iwatani Kane for “What They Know” in The Wall Street Journal.
Blogging category: Loren Steffy for “Reinvention of the Airlines” for Houston Chronicle.
Business book category: Bethany McLean and Joe Nocera for “All the Devils Are Here: The Hidden History of the Financial Crisis” published by Portfolio.
