The Financial Times has launched a new newsletter called “Swamp Notes,” which will cover money and power in President Donald Trump’s America.
The newsletter will be published on Monday and Thursday and replaces “White House Countdown,” which covered the 2016 presidential election campaign.
It’s only available to subscribers.
The writers will be U.S. columnists Rana Foroohar and Edward Luce, who will discuss what’s driving U.S. politics, business and markets viewed from Washington, New York and beyond.
Foroohar is global business columnist and an associate editor at the Financial Times, based in New York. She is also CNN’s global economic analyst. Her book, “Makers and Takers: The Rise of Finance and the Fall of American Business” (Crown), about why the capital markets no longer support business, was shortlisted for the Financial Times McKinsey Book of the Year award in 2016.
Luce is the Washington columnist and commentator for the Financial Times. He writes a weekly column, FT’s leaders/editorials on American politics and the economy and other articles. Luce has worked for the FT since 1995 as Philippines correspondent, capital markets editor, South Asia bureau chief in New Delhi and Washington bureau chief between 2006 and 2011.
