P.J. Harston, the national business editor for the Sun newspapers in Canada, which include the Toronto Sun, Winnipeg Sun and the Edmonton Sun, writes Tuesday that they’re changing how they cover business news north of the border.
Harston wrote, “With six big daily newspapers in six very different markets across Canada and limited space with which to work, fitting even the most relevant business news in our pages can be frustrating at the best of times.
“So, we’re not going to do that any more.
“Instead, we’re going to show you a place on the Internet — money.canoe.ca — where you can get a lot of market-specific, relevant business, finance and market news and we’re going to use our space to give you information you can use and food for thought.
“Starting today, our team, including veteran columnists Linda Leatherdale in Toronto and Neil Waugh in Edmonton, will focus on providing commentary on personal finance, consumer advocacy and small business issues.
“The newly tweaked Your Money section, which runs Tuesday through Saturday, will also feature guest columnists from time-to-time, point out and review good money-related reads and shed light on how you can better make your money work for you.”
