The Suburban Newspapers of America will hold a conference call Monday for reporters and editors interested in learning how to cover the current financial crisis better.
The call will be at 4 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.Â
Dr. Edward Leamer, director of the internationally recognized UCLA Anderson Forecast, is the featured speaker for the briefing and will provide insights on the nation’s current economic condition. Dr. Leamer will also respond to journalists’ questions during this 60-minute seminar.
Dr. Leamer was on the faculty of Harvard until he joined UCLA’s Economics Department in 1975 and has been at Anderson since 1990. He is quoted widely by media outlets throughout the country, most recently in a Sept. 17 Washington Post article on the relationship between recession conditions and unemployment rates, payroll jobs and industrial production.
