Former Cheddar anchor Tim Stenovec has been hired as an anchor for Bloomberg QuickTake, its streaming television channel.
He had been at Cheddar since June 2017.
Previously, Stenovec was technology editor at Business Insider.
He also was a tech reporter at The Huffington Post, covering streaming media such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Spotify and Pandora, mobile devices and wearable technology. He appears regularly on TV, radio and HuffPost Live, The Huffington Post’s live streaming network.
Previously, he was the trends editor and associate standards editor at The Huffington Post, where he focused on breaking news and wrote about science, technology and politics. As a member of the standards team, he trained new reporters and editors in SEO and HuffPost style, standards and aggregation, and oversaw the editorial training program.
He is a graduate of the inaugural class of Jay Rosen’s Studio 20 master’s program at New York University, where he helped launch The Local East Village, a hyperlocal reporting collaboration between NYU and The New York Times. In 2009, he was the recipient of the Studio 20 Fellowship, a stipend to spend the summer reporting for The Local.
