Health care news site STAT News has hired J. Emory Parker as its data project manager.
His role will be to champion data journalism at STAT and focus on developing new data products.
Parker has been at The (Charleston) Post and Courier since September 2013, and most recently was its digital editor. He was also interactive editor at the paper. He was also product and interactive editor.
Parker is a graduate of the College of Charleston.
