At Wired, she has been covering biotechnology, public health, and genetic privacy. Previously, she freelanced as a reporter, audio producer, and fact-checker. Her work has appeared in Popular Science, Discover, Undark, Nautilus, and Aeon.
She studied biology at Carleton College and has a graduate degree in journalism from the University of California, Berkeley.
