Boston Globe-backed health care news site STAT has hired Nicholas Florko to be its Washington correspondent.
He will start on Sept. 10.
Florko is currently the managing editor of Inside Health Policy’s FDA Week, a daily online news site coupled with a weekly print publication covering all things FDA policy.
His reporting covers everything from drug pricing to agricultural standards and takes varying forms from 300-word blogs to 1500-word investigative pieces.
He most frequently reports on litigation, drug pricing, off-label promotion, generic and biosimilar drugs and pharmaceutical compounding.
He is a graduate of American University in international studies and biology.
