The Minneapolis Star Tribune has hired Burl Gilyard to cover medical technology.
He will start on Nov. 1.
Gilyard is currently a senior writer at Twin Cities Business. He joined the magazine in July 2013 as senior writer, a role in which he writes major feature stories, as well as shorter stories for print, web, and its Briefcase e-newsletter.
Prior to joining Twin Cities Business, he worked as a staff writer for Finance & Commerce, covering commercial real estate and development. His past experience includes working at the Twin Cities Reader, Corporate Report, and City Pages.
He also worked from 2001 to 2004 as a freelance writer focusing on regional magazine work.
