Kristen Painter, who covers food and airlines for the Minneapolis Star Tribune, is moving into an editing role.
She will oversee reporters covering food, agriculture, health care, medical technology and business news analysis. She will leave her beat at the end of the month.
Painter joined the Star Tribune in 2014 to cover growth and development. Before that, she covered airlines and aerospace at The Denver Post.
Painter joined The Post in 2011. She holds a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a bachelor’s degree in history and a minor in ethnic and racial studies from the University of Wisconsin at La Crosse.
While in graduate school, Painter worked for the Boulder Daily Camera as an intern. She was also a teaching assistant in the journalism department.
