Stacker hires Etkin as head of content strategy

Stacker, a news wire that offers data-driven business news content, has hired Jaimie Etkin as head of its content strategy.

Etkin will start on Oct. 18. She has been at Galvanized Media where she served as editor in chief for nearly three years.

Prior to Galvanized Media she worked BuzzFeed, HuffPost and The Daily Beast. She was entertainment editor at BuzzFeed and TV editor at HuffPost.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from New York University.

Stacker provides coverage of topics such as food stamp usage, or a breakdown of cost of living in each state. Stacker says it produces quality journalism by shining a light on stories often hidden in local and national data.
