St. Louis paper cuts standalone business section

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, a Lee Enterprises newspaper, announced that beginning this week it will put its business news inside its A section on Monday through Thursday.

In a memo posted on the paper’s Web site, editor Arnie Robbins and managing editor Pam Maples stated, “While business news will also be found in the larger A section, you still will find a free-standing business section on Fridays that focuses on local business trends, company news and an increased emphasis on real estate, careers and networking.

“The Sunday Business section will continue to showcase our best regional and national stories with special focus on personal finance, local companies and trends. And you will find stories on the business of health care in the new Thursday STLHealth section.”
