St. Louis CEO magazine names new editor

Robert Batterson has been named editor of its St. Louis business magazines, St. Louis CEO and Commercial Journal-St. Louis, according to an announcement Monday from parent company Anthem Publishing.

Batterson joins Anthem following a long tenure as a journalist, writer and public affairs specialist in
the St. Louis market.

Batterson penned the “Going Global” business column for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and served the Washington University community as managing editor, communications director and co-program manager for international research at the University’s Weidenbaum Center (formerly the Center for the Study of American Business) and as director of news & information in the University’s Office of Public Affairs.

Batterson is a native of St. Louis and resides in Richmond Heights. He holds a master’s degree from Washington University and a baccalaureate degree from Saint Louis University.

Anthem Publishing launched St. Louis CEO, a business magazine that bills itself as “St. Louis’ business source for insight, innovation and inspiration,” in July 2007 with offices in Chesterfield, Mo.  The company also publishes KC, a Kansas City lifestyle magazine, KCB (KC Business) and Commercial Journal-Kansas City.
