Andre Jackson, the assistant managing editor for business at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, has resigned to take a job writing editorials about business and the economy at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Jackson’s first day on the job will be April 14.
Jackson, who is a board member of the Society of American Business Editors and Writers, has overseen business news coverage at the Post-Dispatch since spring 2001.
Jackson joined the Post-Dispatch in 1987 as a general assignment reporter, covering events ranging from presidential campaigns to a Ku Klux Klan rally. He also worked on special projects, including series on race relations and minority construction contractors. Before becoming AME for business, he was a team leader in business and an editor on the city desk.
Jackson holds an MBA degree from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University.
