Nik Deogun, editor in chief and senior vice president at CNBC, sent out the following staff announcement on Friday morning:
I’m pleased to announce that after a successful stint as co-host of “Worldwide Exchange” in London, Kelly Evans has returned to the U.S.
Starting Monday, Kelly will join the “Squawk on the Street” team as co-anchor, bringing her deep knowledge of the markets and economy to the program.
Prior to arriving at CNBC 15 months ago, Kelly was a reporter and columnist for The Wall Street Journal, penning the influential “Ahead of the Tape” column. She also hosted the daily “News Hub” program on WSJ.com.
Please join me in welcoming Kelly back to the U.S.

I think CNBC made an excellent choice in promoting Kelly to Squawk On The Street anchor - she will make a great show an excellent show.
Sad to see her leave U.K she was such a nice, honest and cheery person to have on that show on that channel during her time here over the last year. However I hope CNBC Europe bring in Maryam Nemazee from AL JAZEERA ENGLISH to replace her on Worldwide Exchange real soon .Nobody can seriously say she is not the obvious and best replacement for Kelly Evans on that show .She has from her Bloomberg TV SHOW THE Pulse the background the profile and star quality to gain a more viewers and add star quality to that show .She is a heavy hitter and probably the best in the U.K at what she does. Hopefully she will announced soon as the new co -anchor on that show real soon.
I love it when her more liberal comments clash with Rick Santelli ...great television
