Ted Keith has joined Sports Business Journal as assistant managing editor.
Keith joins SBJ after more than 10 years at Sports Illustrated, where he had various editorial roles, from starting as a reporter in 2006 to eventually becoming senior editor from 2104 to 2017.
As senior editor, Keith was editor of SI’s front-of-the-book section, working with writers, reporters, art and photo staffers to produce an 8-10 page section every week covering cross section of sports subjects and personalities.
He previously led and managed all aspects of SI.com’s baseball and college basketball coverage, including budgeting, staffing and coordination of major events.
Keith also covered Major League Baseball and other sports. He covered major events and wrote and reported on breaking news, features and enterprise stories.
Keith, a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, was also a sports reporter for The Durham Herald-Sun from 2000 to 2002.
