Scott Maben, the business editor of The Spokesman-Review, has been named director of communications for the Coeur d’Alene Public Schools.
Maben previously managed their Coeur d’Alene bureau as deputy city editor.
Before coming to Coeur d’Alene, Maben was a news reporter for The Register Guard in Eugene, Oregon. He also spent two years as the editor of the Redmond Spokesman, a weekly newspaper, from 1995 to 1997. Before that, he was a reporter for The Bend Bulletin for four years, covering natural resources and the environment.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree, journalism major from the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication.
