The Spartanburg Herald-Journal has hired Kathryn Casteel to cover growth and development.
She will start in mid July.
Casteel has been an investigative reporter at the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery, Alabama, since October 2018.
She previously worked at FiveThirtyEight.com and interned at Crain’s New York Business.
Casteel holds a bachelor’s degree from University of South Carolina Upstate and a master’s degree from the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism.
