S&P Global Platts reporter Jacquelyn Melinek has been hired as a reporter for Blockworks, which covers digital assets for investors.
She starts her new job on June 8 covering digital assets, specifically cryptocurrency.
She has been part of the S&P Global Platts team out of Houston covering petrochemicals. She previously interned for Bloomberg News on the Americas oil trading desk.
Before interning at Bloomberg, Melinek was an intern in the metro section of The News & Observer out of Raleigh, N.C., as well as a business reporter for the North Carolina Business News Wire.
Melinek holds a B.A. in journalism from UNC-Chapel Hill.
