Reporter Kay Nguyen is taking over the business and consumer beat at the Aberdeen American News in South Dakota, reports JJ Perry of the paper.
Perry writes, “The transition will be taking place over the next week.
“Nguyen joined the staff in summer 2012, where she began primarily covering K-12 education, eventually taking over higher education duties.
“But she’s done so much more, up to and including recent EB-5 reporting.
“She is also designated the newsroom’s ‘digital specialist,’ helping to manage AberdeenNews.com and devise features for online.
“In her new role, Nguyen will be taking over the popular Community Business section on Fridays, offering the kinds of tidbits consumers are looking for.”
