South China Morning Post taps Bermingham as Europe correspondent

Finbarr Bermingham is now Europe correspondent at The South China Morning Post.

Previously, Bermingham held the post of production editor, political economy at the publication.

He has also worked as a freelance journalist for more than 14 years, with his work appearing in The Times, The Asia Times, Irish News, Al Jazeera, Q Magazine, International Business Times, The Week, Restaurant Magazine, The Skinny, Drowned In Sound, The Line of Best Fit, STV, Fest Magazine, Singapore Airlines (Silver Kris), Ryanair Magazine, Latest 7, Culture 24, Fresh Underground Culture Magazine, 3 Wise Monkeys, Financial World and The Thin Air.

Bermingham has also appeared in broadcast media to discuss areas such as politics, economics, trade and Asian affairs, including a weekly slot on Share Radio (U.K.) and TV appearances on Al Jazeera English.

He was also Asia editor at Global Trade Review and a trade correspondent at International Business Times. He has also worked as a reporter and then as a senior reporter at Global Trade Review. He was also an assistant editor at The Gateway.

Bermingham has also worked as a staff writer and as a competitions editor at Gwangju Blog and The Skinny, respectively.

Bermingham is a BSc. in communication, advertising and marketing from Ulster University.
