Semmler writes, “Heidi Prescott is closing her notebook as The Tribune’s Market Basket columnist after some 15 years to pursue a new career in media relations for Beacon Health System. We thank Heidi for her many years of devotion to the column and the news business, as well as for helping us connect with readers by providing information on the latest in retail, restaurant and commercial development throughout the region.
“Though Heidi is moving on, we remain devoted to the column. Lincoln Wright, who has degrees in apparel merchandising and journalism, will take over the column beginning Wednesday. Please be patient with us; change is never easy. Heidi’s sources and beat knowledge were developed over a lot of years.
“In addition, Lincoln will introduce a new occasional feature called On the Job. Using video, photos and words, he intends to highlight some of the interesting jobs in the community. The first video, which focuses on a Rochester turkey farmer, appears on southbendtribune.com, and his story will appear in Wednesday’s paper.”
